Rotopiko Bioblitz 2018

National-Wetlands-Trust-News-and-Events-Rotopiko-Bioblitz

Join our Bioblitz on Saturday 17 February 2018 to celebrate World Wetlands Day. A group of scientists will be on hand to collect and display a wide range of plants and animals (or evidence of them through photos/ footprints) living at Rotopiko wetland south of Hamilton.

We aim to document species from inside and outside the innovative pest exclusion fence, to examine the outcome of pest eradication. The general public will be able to talk to scientists about their findings and see how samples are collected. This event is sponsored by Landcare Research and was gifted to the Trust by the Landcare Research Bioblitz Competition winner Dr Monica Peters.
