WAVE Internet to Sponsor National Wetland Trust

Well known national ISP, Wave Internet announced today that it had agreed to sponsor the National Wetland Trust of New Zealand. The sponsorship provides for the Internet and online needs of the Trust and covers a variety of services and products.

"One of the key objectives of the Trust is to increase the knowledge and appreciation of all New Zealanders about wetland values and a web presence is a powerful tool in achieving this goal", said David Lawrie, Chairman of the Trust. "We intend to leverage the broad reach of the Internet to spread our message and educate the public, landowners and policy-makers about the issues facing our wetlands", he added.

"We are excited about our relationship with the Wetland Trust and our ability to contribute to the preservation of one of New Zealand's greatest natural assets', said Mike Leaver, Wave Manager. "Providing the Trust with their Internet presence is part of our commitment to supporting grass roots based non-profit organisations" he added.
